About Us

The Strathcona Sexual Assault Centre is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the prevention and eradication of sexual assault and sexual abuse. Our office is located in Sherwood Park and we serve the areas of Strathcona County and Fort Saskatchewan.
The Centre began as a program of A Safe Place (women's shelter). In the fall of 2000, we became our own independent organization. Through our SafeTALK program, we provide group and individual counselling services. Our Public Education Program brings information and training to community schools, organizations, and residents in general.
